In southern Italy, vermicelli are the thicker, hearty spaghetti traditionally used in Naples and Puglia. Granoro makes them in Corato from durum wheat semolina, with a firm bite and a porous surface for sauce.

They're ideal with rich tomato sauces, clams (vermicelli alle vongole), anchovies and breadcrumbs, or slow-cooked ragù. Like all of Granoro's Classici, this pasta keeps its golden colour and the aroma of ripe wheat, and stays firm and al dente long after cooking.
