Pennoni are large, smooth penne: wide tubes cut on the diagonal, with plenty of room inside for sauce. Granoro makes them in Corato, Puglia, from durum wheat semolina.

They're excellent in oven-baked pasta and with hearty meat or vegetable sauces. Like all of Granoro's Classici, this pasta keeps its golden colour and the aroma of ripe wheat, and stays firm and al dente long after cooking.
