Penne Mezzanine are a slender, medium-sized penne that sits between the small pennettine and the classic penne. La Molisana makes them in Molise from Italian durum wheat that is stone-dehulled before milling, then bronze-drawn for a porous, sauce-friendly finish.

They're a versatile everyday shape, equally good with tomato sauces, a quick pesto, vegetables or baked in the oven. With at least 14% protein, they hold their bite well.
