Penne Rigate are ridged tubes cut on the diagonal, probably the most popular short pasta in Italy. Granoro makes them in Corato, Puglia, from durum wheat semolina, designed to absorb any sauce.
The ridges and hollow centre are perfect for arrabbiata, vodka sauce, pesto and baked pasta. Like all of Granoro's Classici, this pasta keeps its golden colour and the aroma of ripe wheat, and stays firm and al dente long after cooking.
