Bring a classic Tuscan Christmas treat to the table with Sapori Ricciarelli with Almonds. These soft, chewy biscuits are one of Siena’s best-loved sweets, and Sapori has been making them since 1832. They are made with whole almonds, blended from sweet and bitter varieties for depth of flavour and slowly ground on stone.
Each ricciarello has a soft, chewy centre and a delicate, crackled dusting of icing sugar. They are gluten-free in style, made with almonds rather than flour, and naturally full of almond flavour. Enjoy them with coffee or a glass of Vin Santo after a meal, or give them as a festive gift.
